Our team here at Maison Designs would like to wish everyone a wonderful Fourth of July!
So for this special Fourth of July blog post, read on for some helpful tips for a successful BBQ!
Tip #1: Red, White, and Blue doesn't have to be Stars and Stripes
Sometimes less is more! You can have a few flags, but try and keep the flags at a minimum. You can have a patriotic party but you don't need to be covered in American flags.
Tip #2: A BBQ doesn't need to be just hamburgers and hotdogs!
If you have family or friends coming over, having burgers and hotdogs is fine, but switch it up a little! Add grilled vegetables, grilled pizza, wings, sausages, or anything else you like!
Tip #3: Always have a backup plan!
Sometimes weather can really put a damper on a summer party and make it difficult to have an outdoor party. Make sure that you have a backup plan if the weather does not work put! Have games to play like Jenga, Charades, etc. while waiting for the rain to pass.
Tip #4: Have options that are kid-friendly!
This one seems pretty obvious, but it really can be overlooked. Kid-friendly does not mean small or simple, per se, but rather means that they should be items that a child would eat and enjoy. For example, Mac n' Cheese is always a hit for children as would pigs in a blanket. These dishes should be served alongside the rest of the food so the children don't feel separated from the party. Plus, these dishes are pretty much universally well-loved by everyone! It's a win-win!
Have a fantastic Fourth of July!
